I've been reading, watching, watching, reading. And the one final thought I always find myself conclude to:
We need to be reading our bibles!

And when I say Read the Bible:
Read. The. Bible.
Pray for answers from our Heavenly Father above, dust it off if you haven't dug into it lately, open it up and let God work in your heart.
We are in a battle unlike anything that has ever existed. And in scripture, we have ALL the answers we could ever need. We must remember, it is not an easy task, no, but turning to Him is the only way. It is not intended to prove ourselves to anyone but Him. It's not a tool to use to condemn others to raise ourselves up, but help others see Him working through us in a way that is so powerful and divine. Going to the foot of the cross is one of the most humbling experiences we can endure. To have such a desire to purify our hearts for Him, that's what it's all about. And now more than ever, it is a necessity. As I watch each and every day unfold it seems so clear.
I fully believe it is TRULY the number one prescription that needs to be handed out to every single one of us, taken as a regular supplement...
Daily!

Right now we are all experiencing what very well could be God's wrath. It is time we turn to Him, ask for forgiveness and plead for mercy. If you are watching what is happening and feel deep in your heart something doesn't seem right, LISTEN!
In the book of Revelation there are connections to historical texts that exist within the rest of the book. From the old to the new testaments we have been able to witness what happens if we turn away from Him and look to this world for answers. We see a very descriptive, apocalyptic explanation of the "end of days" that are to come. It is rough. But the more I read and understand, the more it seems evident. We may indeed be right there. I encourage you to take some time to really meditate on the words in Revelation. Ask God to guide you to understanding so that if indeed we are in these end times that are spoken about, we will not be in darkness when that day comes.
Although it can be terrifying to know that, even as followers of Christ, we WILL endure many hardships, pain and suffering, when we continue to trust His will, listen and let Him guide us, He has a plan that will overcome it all. It's not going to be an easy ride there. But we are promised, it is 100% worth it.
I feel it deep in my soul. He is currently revealing so many things to us, allowing us to see clearly He wants to renew us, purify us and prepare us for what's to come. He is giving each and every one of us the opportunity to turn from our wicked ways and towards His saving grace.
I fully believe:
He is making all things new as he tells us He would do at the end of the book of life. (Revelation 21:5)
The beauty of it all to those who believe...
If it is the end of this book OR if He is trying to renew our spirits it truly is only just the beginning of what God has promised us will come:
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, the old order has passed away." Revelation 21:4

Oh, the book of James is so good! Every bit of it! In this short read we find many tools that can help us heal our own hearts. If you aren't sure where to start, in my personal experience this book has been such an impactful tool for me. Praying before entering into it, if we prepare our hearts to be open to healing, this is just one of the many books that can guide us in a way that will truly help transform us for Him, allowing us to be used to fulfill His will in each and every day we live, in everything we do, so that our focus is not of this world but on our one true God.
We are living in a sin filled world. Now more than ever we need to be turning to our Heavenly Father, asking for guidance so that we can do better, be better in each and everything that we do. Every single day we are tested. And in every single moment, He is still there.
Although I fully believe we must be praying for the Lord to guide each of us on where to go for answers, I can say either way you go, if you are going to Him with humility in your heart, His grace and mercy IS sufficient. He sees, He knows. He's ready for us all to turn back to Him.
So today I pray,
Dear Lord,
Forgive us. Lead us, guide us, teach us. Help us prepare our hearts for our treasures in heaven. You are the great and almighty judge. We turn to you now with humility in our hearts. Show us the way Lord.
Amen
