ADVENT, DAY 2 -A savior was born- Luke 2:11

I remember when I found out I was going to have another child. I was sitting in the theater, watching that movie, "The Star" with family, when the little animated mouse watched fearfully as sweet Mary was spoken to by the angel Gabriel. "You will conceive & give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus" (Luke 1:31). And just as that little mouse flipped out, so did the tears, right out of my eyes, the butterflies in my stomach. Like he was telling ME, YOU WILL CONCEIVE & BIRTH a son. Uh... say what?! I remember thinking, are you talking to me?! Like, I am going to have ANOTHER child?! What is happening? Omg, pull it together. Everyone is going to see you flipping out. Looking around, I thought is anyone else getting this emotional?! WHY AM SO EMOTIONAL?! Have I LOST my mind?!

The feeling was so real though. And I could NOT shake it. It overcame me for the rest of that day. My kids even made fun of me for crying during the movie, although I didn't exactly tell them why those tears were popping out bc they might think their Mother had lost her mind. Fast forward a few months. I was sitting at work, all the emotions were full force. For some reason it hit me, I think I missed my "time of the month!" I never miss. So during my lunch break, I ran to the local dollar gen, grabbed a cheap test, ran back, took it. Sure as heck---> (+) I remember thinking right then, I know it's going to be a boy isn't it? Then having this panic attack thinking, Oh No! As I counted on my hands, March, April, May... December! Omg! This baby is going to come around Christmas! OMG! I have to tell my husband! We weren't exactly planning on another. Two, that was our number. We reached two. We were done. As much as all these things came over me, something inside me knew, no matter what happened, it was going to be ok. And after that, alot did happen. But our precious boy was born, healthy, happy, full of energy. Nonetheless, on Christmas Day. God works miracles every single day. No matter how we see them. He uses us all, in His way. In His time. We just have to listen.
