"Bomb"barded.

That's how I feel some days.

Like a bomb has been dropped over and over again.

So much information.

So many opinions.

So much to process.

So much stress.

And then you see the good and you know. God's got a handle on it.

As we continue to process every little detail and try to understand what's best, one of the most difficult things is to just remember, God's got this.

Trying to remember, Jesus didn't come to call the righteous, He came for the sinners. For the sick. For the lost. For the hurting souls. He has a hand in it all even when we struggle seeing it. But we must know this, believe this and never loose sight of this. And boy, that's a hard battle at times!

There are so many incredible songs of times past that show His mercy, show His "Amazing Grace."

I have always been a music junky. I love music of all kinds. But over the past few years I found myself more drawn to Christian music. It's uplifting and empowering messages have kept my spirits high. Kept my focus on our Lord. Helped blot out the worry and fear of this world and kept me focused on God's will. Problem is, my tween-aged son, not so much a fan right now. So we have battled with the buttons many times during our rides together in the car. After making the switch and then going back I never realized the impact music can have on our souls. The words spoken mixed with the melodical beat truly can alter the way we think, the way we act, the way we see life. The words we feed our souls with have more of an impact than we realize!

As a Mother you learn to pick and choose your battles. And the great music battle is one I loosened up on. So as we have been traveling more, I hear more. More depressing lyrics, more broken hearts, more sadness and nastiness. And it just brings me down. My heart starts hurting as I dwell on the pain coming from those who are hurting. I feel their pain. I've lived their pain. I KNOW this pain.

And then you hear it...

Something that can only be a work of God and you know He's got a handle on it.

A beautiful lyric, a beautiful message, a beautiful beat plays and your spirit is lifted back up again.

We are being bombarded with so much right now. Our hearts get heavy and we feel lost at times. The messages we hear, the hurt we see, it can really be damaging to our souls. Put a cramp in our uplifted spirits. Things are being revealed to us that we may not be prepared for or feel ready to understand. But His plans are bigger than our understanding. His ways are beyond what we know. He is working through the hearts of many, and fixing the kinks.

Our bodies are His temple. What we feed them truly can impact how we use them. From the food we eat to the words and messages we put into them, we have the ability to alter the way we see things, do things and how we live.

In a world full of hate and hurt God will always be the light. Here are a few songs I have heard that were written and composed during this crazy year of 2020.

Never stop feeding your souls with the all the good!
