Driving into the fog

Luke Chapter 12

We worry, we stress, we are anxious, we let the things of the past keep us from moving into the future. It's so hard to know which direction to go sometimes. We have these things that bother us, fears that want to hold us back. But when we make that decision from this point forward I WILL cast my cares and put my trust in the Lord, when we keep our focus on his ways, even when we have slip ups, he will provide what we need, when we need it.

All the other static shouldn't matter.

As children we kept watchful eyes on our parents and friends, we looked up to celebrities, we dreamt about the people we would become as we learned from others along the way. Yet, inside this little light was glowing. Our own personal lantern, shining from within. A special glow that makes us, us. As we evolved, the winds of the world tried to blow it out but that light, it doesn't burn out. Although at times it may of become dim, and somedays might still have a few flickers, most days it's as powerful as ever.

That light, our spirit, is what keeps us thriving. That light is the Lord's hope inside us, that special gift he gives us. How we feed it, is how it survives. The power we supply it with, is what will keep it glowing or what will cause it to go dim.

How are you supplying your light today? Are you letting the ways of the world send you wandering aimlessly or are you letting the Lord lead the way, even when driving into the fog?

Our bodies are more than what we see on the outside. They need the proper fuel to glow, and that truly happens... from within. Through him, we are all the light of this world.

Shine bright, even on the foggy days.
