Advent Day 6 & 7
Luke Chapter 6 (and 7)
Perfectly Imperfect
Luke Chapter 6 is one of my favs!!! I remember on several different occasions reading or hearing verses from this chapter and feeling just absolute conviction in my actions. I can think of several times in my life that I look back and think, "WHAT was I thinking?! WHY did I do that?!" And also still to this day, mid action I find myself hearing that little bird in my ear saying, "Why do you notice the splinter in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?" (Luke 6:41) Ouch! With my kids, with family, my husband, people I cross paths with... It's so easy to get caught up in my own daily routines that I forget, we each were made so unique, FOR A REASON! Not only can I not judge, but I can't let the judgment others may have towards me keep me from the path He created for us all. Sometimes we need to go through these obstacles in life to truly get what our purpose fully is. Without those missteps how would we truly get it?

His ways can be so hard to understand, but when we give eachother just the slightest bit of grace, His beauty of real love unfolds. Peace between His people unveils itself. It's just magical!
In Luke Chapter 7, you see a little bit more of this grace. Jesus shows us he is a friend of the sinners. He heals, he forgives. Confused by this, people questioned and scorned his ways, but he reminds us, through repentance and forgiveness we all can be saved. He believes in us, and wants what's best for us. It's now up to us to believe in and FOLLOW him in all we do. He depends on us to hear what he has to say, learn from it, grow and pass the knowledge on. Do you believe in you? He does.
