Betrayal
It's one of the hardest parts for me to read in the story next to the crucifixion. The part you wish didn't happen. One of Jesus's closest... turns him over. And yet, Jesus doesn't fight back, but He shows mercy. His followers rightfully feel compelled to protect Him. Yet, once again, Jesus throws that curve ball. He allows the will of God to be done, so that those around Him see:
God's grace and mercy is relentless. It's endless. It's inconceivable sometimes. But it has always remained.
Because what He wants is pureness for His people. All of them.
Even until the end of Judas' life, Jesus had hope he would find his way and ask for forgiveness. He was willing to forgive. Even the very one who betrayed Him. It's so dang hard to grasp sometimes. But He was willing.

He forgives those we might think are unforgivable.
He bares light to those we might think are unteachable.
He loves those we might think are unlovable.
His mercy never stops because His love never ends.
Today, I pray,
in a world so uneasy and disrupted, we can see God's relentlessly mercy upon ourselves. I pray we can pay that forward. He is urging us to forgive, to love, to have hope and to pray for eachother, even those we struggle with, as we walk this journey together.
His message is clear.
